2 Reveiws for ASP.NET 4.0 Programming

  1. Has a little (very little) about a bunch of subjects, but does not go into any detail on any single item. Not useful for a beginner, and anyone that has used asp.net already knows the basics on the subject. And the book contains almost no usable examples.

Look someplace else for help with asp.net.

  2. This was a promising book but contains little more than a rehash of topics contained in every Professional [...] book by Wrox or any other publisher but yet managing to pick a few features and describe them each in a couple of pages whereas other books might actually go in-depth on the topic – I mentioned Wrox since most of their books in that line seem to just repeat the preceding ones with the new features added. Aside from the paltry few pages on the Entity Framework and Dynamic Data, I’m at a loss for finding much more 4.0 content. The AJAX coverage could have been ripped right out of any other book for ASP.NET and doesn’t even cover the newer features such as client-side data-binding. Poorly written and will only serve as a condensed index on few topics. Don’t waste your money. It’s a one-star because there isn’t anything lower.
