  • 5 Reveiws for MCSE Windows NT Server 4 in the Enterprise for Dummies

    1. Miguel Ruiz says:

I bought this book (and a few others) to finish my MCSE before the deadline (a few days away). I purchased this particular book because of the reviews. This was my first “Dummies” purchase ever, and I am COMPLETELY SATISFIED!

I had always stayed away from the Dummies series because everyone I knew would poke fun at someone who brought one into work.

Now that I know how awsome these books are I recommend them everytime someone asks, “Which book should I buy for ?”

The author does an excellent job going over all of the material in an orderly and concise manner. From the first page, to the last page you will find yourself understanding key concepts in no time!

If you need to touch up or fill in the holes in your information, this is the book to read. I am taking classes for my MCSE exams and I wasn’t sure on a couple of things about two weeks before the test, so I ordered this book NDA and skimmed through. I immediately found the info that I wasn’t sure about. I didn’t read the whole book, but it was worth the money for the book and the shipping to have passed the test on the first try.

    3. The book itself is a very good exam prep resource, but do yourself a favor and find another source for sample tests. The practice exams contain more errors than any other book in the series. Beg, borrow or steal the Transcender or Sybex tests and then use this book to learn what you don’t know.

This book touched on many of the basic NT concepts but lacked information specific to the NT Enterprise material necessary to pass the Enterprise exam. I would recommend this book to anyone who works with NT in general but not to those who are looking for additional material to prep for the SITE exam.

I did not attend a CTEC for this test and this is the only book I used to pass with a 702. The passing grade was 560. This was my 6th test and the 4th time I have used a Dummies book. I just bought TCP/IP for Dummies.
